Thank you! It is a very interesting article. I'm actually thinking about pursuing my postdoctoral studies on the link between feminism and communism. I have to admit I don't have much knowledge of Friedan's work, but I am always worried when I see an important symbol of the feminist movement (regardless of the fact that her work was not relevant anymore) disappear, especially with the strong conservative antifeminist backlash of the recent years. I am part of a discussion list of historians, H-Net and most specifically, H-Women, and there is a great exchange on this topic of conservative antifeminist women. Here is a link of an badly written but interesting article published in MS magazine against one of these women.
